NIJ: NIGERIA INSTITUTE OF JOURNALISM MATRICULATE STUDENTS INTO 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SECTION

The Nigerian Institute of journalism yesterday Tuesday 15th
of March, 2022, conducted her 2021/2022 matriculation for new students into another
academic section.
The program began at exactly 10:00am WAT at the Institute Main
Auditorium. While addressing the new matriculating students into the institution
at the NIJ campus, 8-14 Ijaiye road, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos. The chief provost of
the school Mr. Gbenga Adefaye in his keynote address, told the students of both
ND, HND and PGD to be of good behaviour and role mode of the prestigious institution.
He further stressed it that the institution will not condone any forms of misdemeanor
from the students, whether be it examination malpractices, cultism, absenteeism
from studies, fighting, inappropriate dressing, alcoholism and drugs abuse within
and around the campus.
The HOD of Mass Communication of the Institute, Mr. Mike Osuji,
while welcoming the fresher’s assured them that the institute is happy and proud
of them. And will also ensure to provide all the necessary facilities and conducive
environment to further enhanced their learning and education at the school.
Parents, guardians, guests, well-wishers and as well as the matriculating
students graced the August occasion in their beautiful and colourful attires. Also
present at the event is Dr. Dele Omojuyigbe the Deputy Provost of the school
and other staff members of the school. ND 1-FULL -TIME: 81; ND1 PART-TIME: 45; HND1-FULL-
TIME: 102; HND1-PART-TIME: A of 309 matriculating students were received into
the new academic year.
Some of the parents
who spoke with our reporters said, they are so happy to see this dream become a
reality and they are already looking
forward to the day they will converge here again to see their children and wards
convocation.
